This recipe seemed intriguing and I had to try it out as I love shrimp. Maryam however, does it in a different manner, which requires more effort than my version. This is a substantial meal on it's on served on a bed of seamed rice, by you may also serve it as an accompaniment to your main meal.
500g frozen shrimps, peeled and deveined
1/3 cup honey
2 tbsp chili paste (see photo below)
spray of salt according to taste
Allow the shrimp to defrost at room temperature. Discard excess water.
Mix the honey and chili paste and dunk on top of the shrimps.
Heat a non-stick skillet and throw in the shrimps and the paste, cover and allow to simmer.
The shrimp will have throw its excess water and you should have a watery sauce.
Allow the sauce to reduce completely, stirring frequently.
Serve the shrimps on a bed of rice or as a side dish.
