Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a delightful gift, either receiving or gifting. But making them at home is just as enjoyable and every bit as delicious.
Making them is so easy, it's ridiculous. I was even doubtful whether or not I should post it as an entry in my blog.
But chocolate is another word for love..(at least in my vocabulary) and it's a Tummylicious Treat, so here you go.
1 punnet strawberries, washed and dried.
200g chocolate, milk or dark, or half & half
Melt the chocolate using the Bain Marie method.
For those who don't know this method:
Boil water in a deep pot.
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place into a metal bowl, place over the pot of boiling water. Stir continuously until chocolate has melted.
Insert a toothpick from the base of the strawberry until it is firmly attached. Dip each strawberry into the chocolate and swirl it until 3/4 covered. Stick the end of the toothpick in a styrofoam to hold it up right until dry.
Repeat for all the rest.
